2009 HYDE PARK HISTORICAL SOCIETY REPORT
This has been a busy year for the Historical Society. The stage at the Grange Hall has been completely done over, including the hanging back curtains. We replaced the front entrance doors with some refurbished ones that matched the same style as the old ones. We had to repair the roof. Carl Fortune made a sign, which was installed on the front of the building.
We hosted the Old Timers night in September, which was a standing –room-only event. It has been so successful, that there will be another Old Timers Night on September 3, 2010.
We have several ideas for future events, but we need more help to carry these ideas to fruition. Please consider joining us to help preserve and share the history of our town.
Our next meeting will be on April 8, 2010 at the North Hyde Park Grange Hall.
